# For Verifiers

## Who is a Verifier?

A verifier is any entity who would like to use tokenproof to power their token-gates. For example:

* Event organizers who would like to handle token verification and ticketing with tokenproof, as well as verification at the gate. 
* Entities who would like to verify ownership of NFTs or other tokens in real life. This could be, for example, a shop that gives certain benefits to token holders, a fitness club that issues membership as NFTs, or a restaurant that gives special benefits to token-holders (yes, we're looking at you GaryVee). 
* Entities needing token-gates for their websites and applications. This could be an e-commerce shop that gives a discount to specific token-holders, an NFT project that would like to build an allowlist based on other NFTs held, etc...
